Stickley Library Table
Fifty-five years ago, we rescued
the Gustav Stickley Mission Oak Arts & Crafts
Trestle Library Table from Aunt Aggie’s attic.
It came with a matching leather settee
which had a leather back and seat,
worn to a frazzle.
Being young and newly married,
we had the settee covered in Naugahide,
which was probably not Kosher.
Having moved many times from coast to coast,
the settee was abandoned, though not the table.
The table served for dining and for making art.
